A medical chemical peel removes dead skin layers and improves blemishes, pigment spots and fine lines – at Park Medical in Vienna.
In a chemical peel, a precisely matched active solution – such as fruit acid, salicylic acid or trichloroacetic acid – is applied to the skin. It dissolves the bonds between dead skin cells so that the upper layers renew themselves. Fresher, more even skin appears beneath.
We first analyse your skin condition and select the active ingredient and concentration. After thorough cleansing the peel is applied and left to take effect in a controlled way – a slight burning or tingling is normal. It is then neutralised and the skin is soothed and cared for.
Depending on the depth of the peel, the skin is reddened for a few days and flakes slightly. Please do not pick at the skin, avoid sauna and tanning beds – and consistently use sun protection with a high SPF. A series of several peels a few weeks apart is often advisable.
Suitable for blemished skin, acne, pigment disorders and early skin ageing. The peel is not performed with acute inflammation or infection of the skin, with fresh tanning or during pregnancy and breastfeeding. With darker skin types we choose the active ingredient and depth particularly carefully.
We are happy to advise you personally and without obligation.
