A thread lift firms sagging facial contours without surgery – using absorbable threads that also stimulate the body's own collagen production. In Vienna at Park Medical.
In a thread lift, fine, self-dissolving threads are introduced under the skin. They gently lift the tissue and anchor it in its new position. Over time the threads also stimulate new collagen formation – the skin continues to gain firmness over weeks.
After analysing your facial structure we mark the course of the threads. The treatment is carried out under local anaesthesia and takes about 30 to 60 minutes depending on the extent. The threads are introduced through tiny punctures and the tissue is lifted.
Swelling, a feeling of tightness or small bruises are possible in the first few days. For about two weeks you should avoid exaggerated facial movements, sport, sauna and dental treatments and sleep on your back. Depending on the thread type and initial findings, the result lasts about 12 to 18 months.
Well suited for beginning to moderate sagging of the cheeks, jawline and neck. With very pronounced excess skin, a surgical lift is often the more sensible solution – we advise you honestly on which method suits your findings.
