Warts are removed specifically and gently with cryotherapy (freezing) – with a specialist assessment first, so the diagnosis is correct. At Park Medical in Vienna.
In cryotherapy the wart is strongly cooled with liquid nitrogen. This specifically destroys the altered tissue; the skin sheds it over the following days and heals anew beneath.
Not every rough skin change is a wart. Seemingly harmless spots can also conceal other changes – some of which require treatment. That is why a specialist assessment always comes first with us, using the dermoscope if needed.
After the examination the nitrogen is applied specifically to the wart. You feel a brief burning or stinging. A blister may then form, which is part of the healing process.
Please keep the treated area clean and do not scratch it. Depending on size and location, several sessions two to three weeks apart are needed – patience is required especially with warts on the hands and feet.
We are happy to advise you personally and without obligation.
